NASHUA, N.H., 8 April 2015. The editors of Military & Aerospace Electronics and Intelligent Aerospace are reaching out to readers in an effort to gauge the importance that the defense industry places on cyber security, information security, and cyber warfare.

To get these answers, editors are polling readers over the next six weeks with an eight-question online survey to test readers' attitudes on emerging technologies to safeguard industry and government computers and computer networks from foreign and domestic hackers and sources of malware and cyber vandalism and eavesdropping. Readers can take the online survey at www.surveymonkey.com/s/PSPCSLS.

The growing number of hacker attacks on businesses, banks, social media accounts, and more tells us that cyber security is of growing and critical importance -- particularly for national security assets and crucial infrastructure like air traffic control, the electrical grid, and municipal water supplies.

Military & Aerospace Electronics and Intelligent Aerospace want to hear from readers on the importance of cyber security in their jobs, and how they believe cyber security requirements, policies, and technologies will affect them in the future.

2. Do you expect the need for cyber security, information security, and cyber warfare to change how you do your job over the next one to three years?

3. How high do you perceive the threat of cyber security in air traffic control; satellites and manned spacecraft; embedded systems; C4ISR; and unmanned vehicles?

4. Do you expect future aerospace & defense programs and contracts to require proof of cyber security/protection?
