HIAWATHA, Iowa, 27 Feb. 2015. Crystal Group Inc. in Hiawatha, Iowa, is introducing the RPS425DC1U and RPS585DC2U rugged power supplies for DC applications within demanding environments. The EMC DC power supplies meet MIL-STD-461 and DO-160, and use ATX motherboards in 1U and 2U rackmount servers.

The RPS425DC1U and RPS585DC2U deliver 425 and 585 Watts peak output power respectively and are engineered for 28-volt DC input power compatible with aircraft electrical sources.

Designed with modular output with ATX pinouts for server class motherboards these power supplies are available in an IPC form factor and require no additional components for EMI filtering.

Electronic protection includes inrush current limiting on the input and short-circuit protection with self-resetting thermal shutdown on the output. With dual fan cooling, the units operate in temperatures from -40 to 55 degrees Celsius and perform well in high shock, vibration, EMI environments like ground vehicles and aircraft.
