Compact solid-state computer for radar and other military applications introduced by Sealevel Systems
LIBERTY, S.C., 23 Feb. 2015. Sealevel Systems Inc. in Liberty, S.C., is introducing the Relio R2 compact solid-state computer that offers synchronous serial communications in radar, satellite, and other military applications.
The Sync Server embedded computer combines powerful processing with robust synchronous communications, and offers a choice of the Intel i7 or i3 dual core processor models, each offering a wealth of standard I/O.
The R2 Sync Server provides four synchronous ports using the Zilog Z85230 ESCC. Each synchronous channel is configurable individually for RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, RS-530/530A or V.35.
Relio systems are designed using COM Express architecture, require low power consumption, operate fanlessly in temperatures from 0 to 55 degrees Celsius, and comply with MIL-STD-810 for resistance to shock and vibration.
Data rates to 128 kilobits per second are supported on each synchronous serial port. A digital phase lock loop (DPLL) circuit is included for reliable communication when using NRZI or FM encoding.
Sealevel's SeaMAC synchronous serial driver provides HDLC/SDLC protocols as well as certain configurations of monosync, bi-sync, and raw modes for critical communication development and support. Software utilities are provided to speed application development and to assist in field installation.
The R2 Sync Server runs from a mSATA solid-state disk (SSD) that can be preloaded with Microsoft Windows or Linux operating systems. Included brackets allow mounting to panels, under counters, and onto other surfaces.
