3U OpenVPX smart power introduced by Curtiss-Wright for military ground vehicles, aircraft, and ships
SANTA CLARITA, Calif., 29 Aug. 2011. Curtiss-Wright Controls Electronic Systems (CWCES) in Santa Clarita, Calif., is introducing a 3U OpenVPX and VPX smart power supply for deployed military applications such as ground vehicles, fixed wing aircraft and helicopters, and shipboard equipment that must operate reliably in harsh environments. The rugged power supply provides as much as 279 Watts of power. The smart power supply has integrated nuclear event detector (NED) and crowbar for radiation-tolerant applications, and a holdup circuitry that meets MIL-STD-704 and MIL-STD-1275 to protect against transients.
