CAMARILLO, Calif., 2 Jan. 2011. Nallatech in Camarillo, Calif., is introducing a 10-Gigabit Ethernetmedia access controller (MAC) IP core for the company's PCIe-180 network accelerator card. This IP and hardware combination can reduce time to deployment in signals intelligence, deep-packet inspection, and information security applications.

This IEEE 802.3 2005-compliant MAC core supports Internet protocol traffic on LAN, MAN, and WAN networks to reduce programming time necessary for integration and debugging. The PCIe-180 complies with the low-profile, half-height, half-length PCI Express mechanical specification, and enables compatibility with high density server and blade centers.

“The 10 -Gigabit Ethernet MAC core is delivered as a pre-synthesized netlist with fixed implementation constraints and ready-to-run example designs,” said Craig Petrie, product manager at Nallatech. “This allows customers to focus their efforts developing application-level code rather than integrating and debugging hardware and firmware from different COTS vendors.”
