Software tools to help write code for FPGA-based DSP embedded computing boards introduced by BittWare
CONCORD, N.H., 1 June 2011. BittWare Inc. in Concord, N.H., is introducing the BittWorks II Toolkit design and development tool to help digital signal processing (DSP) systems integrators build complex applications with the Altera Stratix IV and Stratix V field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) on tight deadlines. The tool helps designers deal with code development, software debugging, and final software deployment.
The BittWorks II Toolkit includes the Host Interface Library (BwHIL) of portable, C-callable functions; Configuration Manager (BwConfig) to help designers scan for devices and map them; the Server (BwServer) TCP/IP server program that enables the accessing of PCI Express devices from a remote machine; the command line shell (BwShell) interactive scripting engine with an inline help system; BittWorks I/O software library of components and common driver interfaces based on POSIX I/O (Open, Read/Write, Ioctl, Close); Porting Kit tha that provides source code for the BittWorks Toolkit; and BittWorks II Software Tools that integrate with the BittWare ATLANTiS FrameWork.
