Solid-state drive data storage in 240-pin DDR3 DIMM form factor introduced by Viking Modular Solutions

Viking Modular Solutions in Foothill Ranch, Calif., is introducing its next generation SATADIMM solid-state drive in a 240-pin DDR3 DIMM form factor in 25- and 18.75-millimeter heights for AdvancedTCA (ATCA) blades, 1U rackmount servers, blade servers, and storage bridge bays. SATADIMM products get power from a DDR3 socket, and offers performance of as many as 60,000 IOPS random reads and writes with a transfer speed of 520 megabytes per second.
