CHELMSFORD, Mass., 22 Feb. 2008.Mercury Computer Systems Inc. in Chelmsford, Mass., is introducing the VS6-210 PA Semi-based dual-core air-cooled VXS embedded computer module.

The VS6-210 combines the Power Architecture framework and serial RapidIO interconnect fabric with the PWRficient PA6T-1682M processor. Running at 2.0 GHz, the PA Semi device dissipates 5 to 13 Watts of power during typical operations.

For sensor applications like radar, sonar, communications, and image processing, the VS6-210 employs three independent, standards-based communication fabrics for control, data movement, and sensor data input.

VXS provides improved bandwidth, backward compatibility to previous generations of the VMEbus, and increased power delivery. For more information contact Mercury online at www.mc.com.
