Electronics cooling fan for hazardous and explosive environments introduced by AMETEK Rotron
WOODSTOCK, N.Y., 24 Nov. 2014. AMETEK Rotron in Woodstock, N.Y., is introducing the MIL-901XP high-reliability cooling fan for hazardous and explosive industrial thermal management applications.
The MIL-901XP fan meets UL, NEC and ANSI standards for equipment that will not create an ignition source in explosive environments. It is for either indoor or outdoor installations where sufficient concentrations of flammable gasses, vapors, or dust are present.
Applications include cabinet cooling, heat exchanging, and air exchanging for equipment used in the oil, gas, chemical, mining, and other industries.
With a rated life in excess of 200,000 hours, the fan operates continuously in critical situations. Construction has include thermal protection, advanced composite propeller material and permanently lubricated stainless steel ball bearings. Ambient operating temperature range is -54 to 70 degrees Celsius.
