ATCA CPU board for communications embedded computing offered by GE Fanuc

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., 13 Sept. 2009. GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms in Charlottesville, Va., is introducing the A10200 ATCA single board computer for demanding telecommunications networks and other communications applications.

A complement to GE Fanuc's family of AdvancedTCA products, the A10200 embedded computer has a dual Intel Xeon 5500 Series dual- or quad core processor, and as much as 64 gigabytes of DDR3 SDRAM memory.

MacDILL AFB, Fla., 13 Sept. 2009. Officials of the U.S. Special Operations Command at MacDill Air Force Base, Fla., are awarding a $250 million contract to L-3 Communications Geneva Aerospace of Carrollton, Texas, to develop and build the Expeditionary Unmanned Aircraft System (EUAS).
