Intel-based computer boards with HD DisplayPort introduced by Kontron for aerospace and defense

ECHING, Germany, 1 Dec., 2009. Kontron in Eching, Germany, is introducing CP308 3U CompactPCI multicore computer boards with CP308-MEDIA extension cards, which have the HD digital display interface standard DisplayPort for applications such as aerospace, military, surveillance, and security applications.

ECHING, Germany, 1 Dec., 2009. Kontron in Eching, Germany, is introducing CP308 3U CompactPCI multicore computer boards with CP308-MEDIA extension cards, which have the HD digital display interface standard DisplayPort for applications such as aerospace, military, surveillance, and security applications.

With S/P-DIF-out audio and the stereo audio ports for line in, line out and microphone, the computer board with the Kontron CP308-MEDIA adds multimedia capabilities to embedded computing.

The Kontron CP308 single-board computer has the high Intel Core 2 Duo processor as fast as 2.26 GHz, the Intel GS45 graphics and memory controller hub, as much as eight gigabytes of DDR3 RAM, and the Intel I/O controller hub ICH9M.

The Kontron CP308-MEDIA has two DisplayPort interfaces on the front for direct-drive, end-to-end communication between the board and different panels. With conventional adapters, DisplayPort also connects to HDMI, DVI, or VGA monitors.

The optical S/P-DIF-Out transmits digital Intel HD audio. analog audio signals are transmitted via the stereo audio ports for line in, line out and microphone. Onboard the Kontron CP308-MEDIA has connectors for COM, SATA, a SD/SDHC socket, a CompactFlash socket and a Mini PCI Express socket.
