Both computer board products take advantage of 4 GHz DAC devices. These ANSI/VITA 41 (VME/VXS) compliant 6U high-speed digitizer boards combine high density field programmable gate array (FPGA) processing for wide band signal generation.
The Orion-V5 VXS has two 12-bit digital to analog converter (DAC) channels each operating as fast as 3 gigasamples per second (gsps), with one 10-bit, 2.2 gsps analog to digital converter (ADC) channel with one 12-bit, 3.0 gsps DAC channel.
The Triton-V5 uses one 10-bit 2.2 gsps ADC channel co-located with one 12-bit DAC performing as fast as 3 gsps combined with three Xilinx Virtex-5 FPGAs. Like the Orion-V5, the Triton-V5 is based on the TEK Micro QuiXilica-V5 VXS carrier board and delivers as many as 2,336 DSP slices with 1.3 TeraMAC/s of signal processing power.
The Triton-V5 is for jamming and radar decoy applications. for more information contact TEK Microsystems online at www.tekmicro.com.
