EDO supplies self-defense electronics to U.S. Air Force

NEW YORK CITY, 12 May 2006. The U.S. Air Force has awarded EDO Corporation a $13.2 million contract from for the purchase of Advanced Capability Pods (ACaP). According to the contract, EDO will provide spares, support equipment, training, and documentation. Deliveries are scheduled to occur through the middle of 2007.

The ACaP is a state-of-the-art, electronic warfare self-defense pod designed for various tactical aircraft. It will be used by the USAF's 65th Aggressor Squadron based at Nellis AFB, Nev. The squadron is responsible for training combat air forces.
