COM Express embedded computer introduced by Emerson for data security and scientific modeling applications

Emerson Network Power in Tempe, Ariz., is introducing the COMX-CORE-512 and COMX-CORE-312 COM Express embedded computing board products for data security, scientific modeling, telecommunications, media servers, finance, and other applications requiring high data precision. The COMX-CORE-512 features a 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5 processor and the mobile Intel QM57 Express chipset, while the COMX-CORE-312 offers the Intel Celeron P4505 processor and Intel HM55 Express chipset for lower-performance applications.

The COMX-CORE-512 features a 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5 processor and the mobile Intel QM57 Express chipset, while the COMX-CORE-312 offers the Intel Celeron P4505 processor and Intel HM55 Express chipset for lower-performance applications.

The COM Express computer boards support error correcting code (ECC), and have one PCI Express x16 and seven PCI Express x1 expansion sockets, one Gigabit Ethernet, four SATA, and eight USB 2.0 ports. The modules also support dual simultaneous displays without the need for an additional graphics card and an optional eUSB flash module to extend on-module storage.
