MIDDLETON, Wis., 15 Sept. 2010. Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) in Middleton, Wis., is introducing the XPedite553 conduction- or air-cooled 3U CompactPCIsingle board computer based on Freescale Semiconductor's dual-core QorIQ P2020 processor for space-, weight-, and power-constrained military, industrial, and communications applications.

The XPedite5530 embedded computingboard products have Freescale P2020 processor with two 1.2 GHz PowerPC e500 cores; as much as four gigabytes of DDR3-800 ECC SDRAM, 16 gigabytes of NAND flash, and 256 megabytes of redundant NOR flash; an XMC/PrPMC site; two Gigabit Ethernet ports, two serial ports, and one USB port; and software support that includes Green Hills INTEGRITY Board Support Package (BSP), Wind River VxWorks BSP, and Linux BSP.

The X-ES computer boards meet MIL-STD 810F; are available in air-cooled, commercial (0 to 55 C) to rugged, conduction-cooled (-40 to 85 C) versions; and are tested for shock and vibration. For more information contact X-ES online at www.xes-inc.com.
