Comtech Telecommunications Corp. gains $1.5 million satellite communications order

MELVILLE, N.Y., 2 Sept. 2007. Comtech Telecommunications Corp.'s Tempe, Ariz.-based subsidiary, Comtech EF Data Corp., received a $1.5 million order for satellite communications equipment. The equipment will be deployed to support the satellite-based communications infrastructure of a U.S. government agency.

MELVILLE, N.Y., 2 Sept. 2007.Comtech Telecommunications Corp.'s Tempe, Ariz.-based subsidiary, Comtech EF Data Corp., received a $1.5 million order for satellite communications equipment. The equipment will be deployed to support the satellite-based communications infrastructure of a U.S. government agency.

Included in the order are Comtech EF Data's CDM-600L and CDM-710 Satellite Modems with bandwidth-efficient technologies. The CDM-600L features the industry's most bandwidth-efficient forward error correction (FEC), Low Density Parity Check (LDPC).

The CDM-710 Satellite Modems are standards-based, supporting the evolving Digital Video Broadcast (DVB) standard DVB-S2. .
