CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., 4 April 2007. GE Fanuc Embedded Systems in Charlottesville, Va., is announcing the CT11, CP11, and CR11 6U CompactPCI single-board computers with integrated dual core Intel processing technology. Versions are available with the Core2 Duo processor, the Core Duo processor and the Celeron M processor (related story).
The family supports a 32- and 64-bit processor architecture, and meets the requirements of military/aerospace, telecommunications, and commercial applications -- with specific applicability to simulation, training, test, and measurement.
The boards can operate in temperatures from -40 to 75 degrees Celsius, depending on options; the CR11 is available as a rugged version with stiffener bars and wedge locks or in conduction-cooled form. The boards are PICMG 2.1 compliant for hot-swap capability.
The CR11 includes four gigabytes of soldered DDR2 SDRAM with enhanced ECC for increased reliability; two 10/100/1000 BaseT Gigabit Ethernet ports; Flash drive or local UDMA100 2.5-inch hard disk; two SATA channels with RAID 0/1 capability; high performance 2D and 3D graphics acceleration with 32 megabytes memory and front/rear VGA and rear DVI-I as much as 1,280-by-1,024-pixel resolution; audio capability; two PMC sites (a PCIExpress XMC interface is available on request in place of one of the PMC sites); two serial ports; and four USB 2.0 ports.
The CR11 also features four independent on-board PCI buses. It is RoHS compliant, and supported operating systems are Windows, Linux and VxWorks. Integrity is available on request. Intel's IPMI (Intelligent Platform Management) Interface is supported on the CT11, which otherwise provides the same functionality as the CR11, but for non-rugged applications.
The CP11 delivers the same feature set as the CT11, but is a dual slot version, allowing for two PMC slots as well as on board hard disk/CompactFlash working in parallel, together with all possible front I/O functions.
