New power options for 1U MicroTCA embedded computing chassis introduced by Pixus

WATERLOO, Ontario – Pixus Technologies in Waterloo, Ontario, is introducing power options for the company's the 1U MicroTCA embedded computing chassis.

WATERLOO, Ontario – Pixus Technologies in Waterloo, Ontario, is introducing power options for the company's the 1U MicroTCA embedded computing chassis.

The PXS0108 chassis is for development or deployed MicroTCA applications. The 1U high unit offers a mix-and-match approach for the MicroTCA Carrier Hub (MCH), power, and payload modules.

There are options for 1 or 2 MCHs, single or dual power supplies, and several size variants of AMCs. Further, the chassis has advanced power management has. The previous version had only basic, active power management across the backplane.

The upgraded PXS0108 has power module functionality including failover, remote management, and power sequencing. The six-slot MicroTCA system platform has backplane options to PCI Express Gen3 speeds. A 40-Gigabit Ethernet backplane option also is available on request.

Pixus offers MicroTCA chassis platforms in 1U Rugged, 2U, 5U, and 8U heights. The company also provides chassis platforms in OpenVPX, AdvancedTCA, and legacy CompactPCI or VME.
