1U rackmount networking system with Intel Xeon E5 processors introduced by WIN Enterprises

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – WIN Enterprises Inc. in North Andover, Mass., is introducing the PL-81230 1U rackmount high-performance networking system. It the Intel Xeon E5-2600 V3/V4 processors coupled with the Intel C612 series chipset. The Xeon processor delivers high performance with as many as 22 processing cores.
The CPU can support 55 megabytes of cache and 80 PCI Express lanes. PCI Express expansion provides support for as many as 32 Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports The platform supports networking functions like unified threat management, SPAM filtering, firewall, routing, and switching.
The rackmount networking device supports Intel Xeon E5-2680 V3/V4 series processor; eight-channel DDR4 2400 MHz memory with maximum support of 512 gigabytes; as many as 8-by-PCI Express X8 slots for LAN expansion modules; as many as 32 Gigabit Ethernet copper/fiber ports; 2-by-2.5-inch swappable hard disk drives or solid-state drives; and a 2U ATX redundant power supply.
The device has 16 DDR4 ECC Register DIMM (as many as 2400 MHz ) and a maximum memory capacity of as many as 512 gigabytes. It has 80 PCI Express lanes and can support as many as 4 NIC modules and several Ethernet module bays to provide flexible port configuration, such as 1/10/40/Gigabit fiber and gigabit copper LAN ports with optional bypass function.

It has two management Ethernet ports (one for management, another for optional IPMI function), a console port, two USB ports, a Graph LCD module with 5-key keypad, LEDs for power/ HDD / 2x GPO. In addition, the PL-81230 supports internal 2.5" SATA HDDs/SSDs and onboard Compact Flash m-SATA/M.2 2280 slot for basic network storage applications.
