Veteran journalist Jamie Whitney joins staff of Intelligent Aerospace and Military & Aerospace Electronics

NASHUA, N.H. – Veteran journalist Jamie Whitney, 35, is joining the staff of Military & Aerospace Electronics and Intelligent Aerospace, where he brings seven years of print newspaper experience to the aerospace and defense electronics industry.

NASHUA, N.H. – Veteran journalist Jamie Whitney, 35, is joining the staff of Military & Aerospace Electronics and Intelligent Aerospace, where he brings seven years of print newspaper experience to the aerospace and defense electronics industry.

Whitney will oversee editorial content for the Intelligent Aerospace Website, as well as produce news and features for Military & Aerospace Electronics, attend industry events, produce Webcasts, oversee print production of Military & Aerospace Electronics, and expand the Intelligent Aerospace and Military & Aerospace Electronics franchises with new and innovative content.

He comes to PennWell from the Pocahontas Record-Democrat, the Laurens Sun, and Buena Vista Journal in Northwest Iowa, where he broke stories on law-enforcement issues; education financing; city, county, and state government; agriculture; industry; and local culture.

Among Whitney's duties at Intelligent Aerospace will be to provide in-depth and on-site coverage of the Farnborough International Airshow in Farnborough, England, as well as of the Paris Air Show in Paris, where he will provide readers with insights on enabling electronic technologies, avionics, aircraft electrification, air traffic control, airport security and automation, and aviation business issues.

For Military & Aerospace Electronics, Whitney will produce upwards of six in-depth features on aerospace and defense electronics technologies each year, and will act as managing editor for the publication's monthly production.

On Intelligent Aerospace, Whitney will track important trends in unmanned aircraft, commercial aviation, business aviation, commercial space, airport and aircraft traffic automation, airport surveillance, and perimeter security enabling technologies.

A native of Nashua, N.H., Whitney lives in Portsmouth, N.H., with his wife Nicole, and their two German Shepherds, Hugo and Bridgette.
