PCI Express expansion system for next-generation GPU embedded computing introduced by One Stop Systems
ESCONDIDO, Calif. – One Stop Systems Inc. in Escondido, Calif., is introducing the Ponto PCI Express Gen5 expansion system supporting 16 675 Watts full size add-in cards in a 6U rack for next-generation GPU and accelerator devices.
Ponto is an ultra-high-power density PCI Express embedded computing expansion system that supplies 11 kilowatts of power to expansion slots. This is equivalent to 1.83 kilowatts per rack unit, which enables users to pool 16 dual-width add-in cards as much power as 675 Watts in one system. The Ponto also is configurable to support 32 single-width add-in cards.
With Ponto, One Stop Systems leveraged its expertise in thermal management to cool the powerful expansion system. Use of high-voltage fans, specialized ducting, and dynamic fan controls ensure that the GPUs in the system will run at full-power full-time.
Baseboard management controller
The One Stop Systems Unified Baseboard Management Controller (U-BMC) enables advanced system monitoring which integrates with the host server's system management interface. U-BMC manages, monitors, and controls the telemetry of One Stop Systems products with advanced capabilities.
This software enables users to unify their systems management and enjoy benefits like dynamic fan controls, GPU power throttling, and add-in card telemetry.
