Summary points:

  • EIZO Rugged Solutions unveils Condor Thor 3U VPX — a SOSA-aligned rugged single-board computer built for defense applications that demand compact, high-performance computing.
  • Powered by NVIDIA Jetson Thor with Blackwell Architecture, delivering massive AI acceleration through 2,560 CUDA cores and as many as 2,070 FP4 TFLOPS for real-time ISR and uncrewed systems.
  • Designed for multi-sensor fusion, the Condor Thor handles several HD video streams with high-speed I/O including 12G-SDI, USB 3.2, and DisplayPort for rugged edge environments.

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – EIZO Rugged Solutions Inc. in Altamonte Springs, Fla., is introducing the Condor Thor 3U VPX family of SOSA-aligned rugged single-board computers for military applications where size, weight, and power (SWaP) constraints and low-latency are critical.

Accelerating the Condor Thor is the NVIDIA Jetson Thor artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics embedded computing chip for real-time intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR), uncrewed systems, and rugged edge computing environments.

The Condor Thor 3U VPX cards are engineered to ingest and process several high-definition video streams simultaneously for multi-sensor fusion across ISR, radar, and infrared sensors.

NVIDIA Blackwell

The NVIDIA Jetson Thor module features a NVIDIA Blackwell Architecture and a 14-core Arm Neoverse-V3AE CPU, supporting 128 gigabytes of high-bandwidth LPDDR5X memory, and aligns to the Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA) open-systems industry standard.

The Blackwell architecture features 2,560 CUDA cores and delivers as many as 2,070 FP4 trillion floating point operations per second of AI performance.

The Jetson Thor accelerates low-latency real-time applications with new NVIDIA Blackwell Multi-Instance GPU (MIG) technology and third-generation Programmable Vision Accelerators (PVA). The Condor Thor embedded computing card provides high-speed I/O and video ingest options such as 12G-SDI, USB 3.2, and DisplayPort, along with external storage support.
