Silicon Designs Announces Immediate Availability of Models 2460 and 2466 Triaxial MEMS DC Accelerometer Modules
For Immediate Release - Kirkland, WA, USA – Silicon Designs, Inc., a U.S.-based, veteran-owned manufacturer of precision MEMS DC accelerometers, today announced the immediate availability of its Models 2460 and 2466, a pair of rugged, low-noise, three-axis MEMS DC accelerometer modules designed for commercial, industrial, and embedded applications requiring reliable zero-to-medium frequency measurement performance.
Engineered for plug-and-play versatility, the 2460 and 2466 Series share identical internal architecture but differ in external packaging. The Model 2460 features a three-foot integrated cable for quick deployment, while the Model 2466 offers a detachable connector interface, allowing users to select custom cable lengths and orientations. Both models are ideal for embedded monitoring, machinery diagnostics, structural analysis, and test applications where long-term precision and low-noise output are critical.
Each module houses three orthogonally mounted MEMS DC accelerometers within a compact, epoxy-sealed anodized aluminum enclosure, providing:
- Full-scale ranges from ±2 g to ±400 g
- 10 μg/√Hz noise density (typical for ±2 g versions)
- Buffered ±4V differential or 0.5V to 4.5V single-ended analog output
- +8 to +32 VDC input voltage
- Wide operating temperature range: -55°C to +125°C
- Low-impedance outputs capable of transmitting over 2,000 feet of cable
All Models 2460 and 2466 units are built, calibrated and tested in-house at Silicon Designs’ ISO9001:2015 certified manufacturing facility near Seattle, Washington. Each sensor is individually calibrated, serialized for traceability, and verified for signal integrity. Clearly marked axis direction arrows simplify orientation during mounting, and installation options include screws, adhesives, or magnetic bases.
These triaxial accelerometers are widely used in aerospace, industrial automation, defense system integration, structural monitoring, robotics, and commercial machinery. Their combination of rugged construction, thermal stability, and flexible packaging options makes them a reliable drop-in solution for engineers requiring long-term acceleration and vibration sensing across three axes.

About Silicon Designs, Inc.
Founded in 1983, Silicon Designs set out to redefine the standard for MEMS DC accelerometer technology. At a time when industrial-grade accelerometers were often oversized, delicate, and prohibitively expensive, Silicon Designs pioneered solutions that were more compact, rugged, sensitive, and affordable, without compromising performance. The company has consistently grown while staying true to its core mission: delivering superior accelerometers built around the principles of “stronger, smaller, better, and more cost-effective,” all while letting customers guide product development. Silicon Designs is proud to remain a 100% veteran-owned U.S. small business.
