FED Corp. to build helmet displays

Engineers at FED Corp. in Hopewell Junction, N.Y., are designing hardware for a flat, low-voltage, high-efficiency/resolution emissive display for integration with military helmet- and battery-operated miniature displays. FED officials are doing the work under an $8.3 million cooperative agreement contract under supervision of experts at the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. Under terms of the contract, FED will pay $4.7 million, while the Air Force will pay $4.1 million.
