Engineers from Laser Power Corp. in San Diego are developing a full-color helmet-mounted display to help train military aircraft pilots under a phase-2 Small Business Innovative Research contract from the U.S. Department of Defense. Laser Power designers are basing their helmet on their red, green, and blue solid-state microlasers.
