SOTA expands line of MIL-PRF-55342 resistors

Officials of State of the Art (SOTA) of State College, Pa., are expanding their line of chip resistors that meet the U.S. military quality standard MIL-PRF-55342. SOTA resistors are available in nine case sizes, with tolerances as low as 0.1 percent, and target mission-critical applications such as manned space flight, life-support systems, and human-implantable medical devices. The latest revision the chip resistor spec MIL-PRF-55342 (G) from the Defense Supply Center Columbus in Columbus, Ohio, introduces a new "T" space-level product designator that standardizes chip resistor specifications for aerospace and avionics applications. DSCC officials developed the spec to eliminate the need for source control drawings for space applications.
