Dense-Pac to supply memory for voice recognition

Engineers at Dense-Pac Microsystems Inc. of Garden Grove, Calif., are providing their 256-megabit memory devices to Lucent Technologies of Murray Hill, N.J., for new digital voice-recognition technology. The memory will enable Lucent designers "to increase available memory for our Lucent Speech Processing Systems II by a factor of four to six times with no changes to our printed circuit card layout," says Lucent technical staffer Larry Tomko.
