The MAE brand Series 600 brush-commutated DC servomotors from PennEngineering Motion Technologies in Harleysville, Pa., are for heavy-duty power applications able to achieve continuous torque as strong as 198 o-in and speeds as fast as 3500 rpm, depending on model. Their design features and construction contribute to smooth-running performance and extended service life. Standard features include 21-slot armatures to minimize magnetic cogging (or reluctance torque) and enable quiet and smooth operation; ball bearings; and four-pole stars. Rugged construction (IMB5 according to IEC 34-7) and balancing class N (DIN 45665) deliver enhanced reliability over time. MAE Series 600 brush DC servomotors can further be customized with encoders to provide position and direction feedback needs, tachogenerators, and gearboxes, among other component options. Speed, voltage, current, and torque characteristics can be tailored to meet exact application requirements. For more information contact PennEngineering online at www.pennmotion.com.
