TRW awarded ISO 9001 certification

Three facilities of the TRW Space & Electronics Group in Redondo Beach, Calif., won ISO 9001 quality-in-manufacturing certification from the International Standards Organization. Gaining the ISO 9001 stamp of approval are the TRW Space Park campus in Redondo Beach, the Capistrano Test Site in San Clemente, Calif., and the Spacecraft Operations East facility in Chantilly, Va. ISO 9001 is the most comprehensive of the ISO 9000 series of quality standards, and establishes, documents, and maintains a system for ensuring the quality output of an organization`s processes, and covers a broad range of business, manufacturing, installation, and servicing operations. - J.K.
