Officials of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) in New York are launching a World Wide Web service to help U.S. business leaders gain access to global market standards. The service, called NSSN: A Global Standards Network (formerly the National Standards Systems Network) lists international standards from private organizations and from federal government agencies, and includes military specifications and other documents from the U.S. Department of Defense. ANSI officials say the service will contain more than 100,000 standards by the end of the year. The service is available at http://www.nssn.org/ - J.K.
