Leaders of Xilinx Inc. of San Jose, Calif., are receiving transitional certification to the Qualified Manufacturer List (QML) for their programmable logic products with densities of as many as 25,000 gates. Leaders of Xilinx Inc. of San Jose, Calif., are receiving transitional certification to the Qualified Manufacturer List (QML) for their programmable logic products with densities of as many as 25,000 gates. Auditors at the Defense Supply Center Columbus in Columbus, Ohio, are certifying the Seiko-Epson, Japan, and the Anam, Philippines facilities. Seiko-Epson is the wafer fabrication partner, and Anam Philippines is the assembly partner for Xilinx military and high-reliability products. Xilinx products with densities of more than 62,000 gates will receive QML status later this year, says Howard Bogrow, the Xilinx Hi-Rel marketing manager. Xilinx has supplied high-rel products that meet Mil-Prf 38535, appendix A, through the Standard Microcircuit program since 1988. - J.K.
