Micro unveils high-temp 16-bit A-D converters

(http://www.mnc.com), is offering two new 16-bit 50-kHz sampling analog-to-digital (A-D) converters able to withstand extremely high temperatures for applications such as engine monitoring and for logging down-hole well-drilling data. The MN5710 operates in 0 to 140 degree Celsius, while the MN5711 operates in 0 to 165 C. Both devices, packaged in hermetically sealed ceramic 28-pin DIPs, feature an inherent sampling function and self calibration of integral nonlinearity errors. The MN5710 costs $585 apiece, and the MN5710 costs $650 each, both in quantities of 100. - J.K.
