Navy readies new tactical data link

The Lockheed Martin Corp. Tactical Defense Systems division in Eagan, Minn., and Aeronautical Systems division in Marietta, Ga., are equipping one U.S. Navy P-3 four-engine turboprop maritime patrol aircraft with the Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC), which can share radar information from several different sensors and hand the information off to any CEC-equipped aircraft, ship, or submarine.
