Navy chooses Cryptek for software security and research project

STERLING, Va., 17 Aug. 2005. U.S. Navy researchers are looking to Cryptek Inc. in Sterling Va., for software research in support of Expeditionary Warfare Systems Department work on the Mobile Rapidly Deployed (MoRAD), Secure Information Technology Systems program.

STERLING, Va., 17 Aug. 2005. U.S. Navy researchers are looking to Cryptek Inc. in Sterling Va., for software research in support of Expeditionary Warfare Systems Department work on the Mobile Rapidly Deployed (MoRAD), Secure Information Technology Systems program.

Cryptek software engineers are doing the work under terms of a $9.9 million contract awarded Aug.16 from the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division in Crane, Ind. The contract number is N00164-05-C-6651.

Company engineers will do basic software research and development to help address a constantly changing threat matrix to the U.S. and its coalition allies.
