RICHARDSON, Texas, 9 Aug. 2005. Optex Systems Inc. in Richardson, Texas, will provide panoramic telescopes for the U.S. Army's M119 howitzer fire-control system.
Company optical technicians are doing the work under terms of a $28 million contract awarded Aug. 3 from the Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command Rock Island at Rock Island, Ill. The contract number is W52H09-05-D-0260.
