LOS ANGELES, 11 Nov. 2005. Teledyne Controls announced today that Italian low-cost airline Wind Jet has ordered AirFASE, a flight data analysis and reporting software tool jointly developed by Teledyne Controls and Airbus.
Designed to assist aircraft operators with their flight operations, safety management, and aircraft maintenance programs, AirFASE will constitute the building block of Wind Jet's new Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) program, providing the core system to monitor the airline's A320 aircraft fleet.
Chosen by over 60 airlines worldwide, AirFASE offers a proven flight data analysis solution that allows airlines to maintain their flight operations monitoring programs and harmonize them with regulatory agencies' recommendations and requirements.
Designed to translate aircraft data into meaningful information, AirFASE enables operators to evaluate flight operations trends, identify risk precursors, and take early preventive/corrective actions. AirFASE performs all the major functions of the flight data analysis process. A sophisticated Flight Analysis Program (FAP), unique to each aircraft type, reconstructs the flight, compares actual data with recommended values, and highlights abnormal events and deviations. Advanced visualization tools, including 3D animation, allow for the easy review of flight information, while a powerful and configurable reporting editor delivers comprehensive and customizable reports. AirFASE is compatible with all major types of commercial transport aircraft, such as Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, and Embraer.
"AirFASE is a comprehensive user friendly flight data analysis tool," said Todd Stout, Teledyne Controls' manager of sales and service for the European region. "We are very pleased that Wind Jet has selected our solution, and we look forward to assisting them further in their FDM initiatives."
