ANNAPOLIS, Md., 2 Nov. 2005. RGII Technologies today announced that it has won a five-year contract from the U.S. Department of the Navy to provide decision support services for the Naval Medical Information Management Center (NMIMC).

RGII was on the winning team led by Bay Technologies Consulting Group that will sustain the NMIMC's Navy Medical Data Quality program. As part of the contract, RGII will maintain and improve the information systems that support Navy staff at the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) and the Naval Military Treatment Facilities (MTF).

RGII will ensure that data within the program's databases is accurate and reliable, cleansing data when necessary and working with NMIMC to establish protocols and procedures that ensure data quality. RGII will also enhance the program's user interface to make access to medical information faster, while also providing the authentication and authorization necessary to ensure that access is secure and meets all federal regulations including the Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act (HIPAA).

The new NMIMC contract extends RGII's relationship with the Department of the Navy. In addition to other existing NMIMC contracts, RGII works on multiple contracts with the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) and Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA).

"We are proud to extend our relationship with the Navy and NMIMC as we enter this new contract and apply our expertise and experience toward the critical issues of medical data integrity," said Kathryn Freeland, CEO of RGII Technologies. "RGII continues to be selected as the partner of choice by both federal organizations and other IT professional services firms, such as Bay Technologies."
