NASA Mars Science Laboratory Curiosity rover to launch this week

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla., 21 Nov. 2011. NASA's Kennedy Space Center, Fla., is set for the Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) Curiosity rover launch. MSL is scheduled to liftoff at 10:25 a.m. EST on Nov. 25 from Space Launch Complex 41 at nearby Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. The Curiosity rover boasts 10 science instruments with which to search for evidence that Mars had environments and chemical ingredients favorable for microbial life, as well as a laser to look inside rocks and release their gasses so its spectrometer can analyze and send the data back to Earth.
