Vuzix to provide U.S. Army with display engine electronics for thermal weapon sights

ROCHESTER, N.Y., 29 June 2011. Vuzix Corp. won a $1.9 million follow-on production order for its low-power display engine electronics for use with light, medium, and heavy thermal weapon sights as part of the U.S. Army's Thermal Weapon Sight (TWS) program.

The Vuzix line of electronics and display engine modules are employed in thermal weapon sights, thermal night vision devices, and low-light image intensifier upgrades, reveals Paul Travers, president of Vuzix Corp.
