New surface-mount 2410 fuses introduced by TE Circuit Protection

July 16, 2011
MENLO PARK, Calif., 16 2011. TE Circuit Protection officials released a 2410SFV family of 20 new AC/DC fuses with current ratings from 0.5A to 20.0A. The fuses conserve board space, enable secondary-side circuit protection, and reduce design costs in high-voltage, high-current designs. The devices come in a 6.1 by 2.5 millimeter SMD package and have a high-interrupt current from 50A to 300A. The fuses are rated for operation at temperatures from -55 to 125 degrees Celsius.

The devices are compatible with standard pick-and-place SMD processes. The 2410SFV fuses' structure also cuts down on the risk of the end cap of the device becoming dislodged. The fuses are lead and halogen free as well as RoHS-compliant and UL listed. For more information, visit www.te.com.
