PARSIPPANY, N.J., 12 August 2008.DRS Technologies Inc.'s team is one of several large companies awarded the Future Flexible Acquisition & Sustainment Tool (F2AST) Program indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide life-cycle support to the U.S. Air Force. The DRS team includes AAR Services Inc., Alabama Aircraft Industries Inc., EJM Aerospace Services, Empire Aero Center, Lear Siegler Services Inc., EG&G Technical Services, Triad International Maintenance Corp., and Westwind Technologies Inc.
The contract includes modifications, development, repairs, and limited, critical, or contingency spares for all Air Force-managed weapons systems. The primary users of the F2AST contract are typically Logistics Managers, Program Managers and Engineers at Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Ogden Air Logistics Center, and Aeronautical Systems Command. Product centers and other agencies or services are allowed to utilize F2AST through their sponsoring Air Logistics Center.
The maximum value of the contract is $6.9 billion and the contracting agency is located at Warner Robins Air Force Base in Georgia.
The work will be carried out by the Engineering and Logistics line of business of the DRS Technical Services business segment in Herndon, Va.
