The industry has recovered from substantial declines in revenue in the early 2000s due to attacksterrorist , hampering the civil segment. Meanwhile, funding increased substantially for the military segment post September 11 attacks. By 2005, passenger levels had returned to pre September 11 attack levels, prompting strong demand for industry products in the civil segment, while the government will ease defense spending over the outlook period.
