U.S. Army orders IDM-304 data modems from Symetrics

MELBOURNE, Fla., 9 Sept. 2008. Symetrics Industries LLC received two additional orders from the U.S. Army for its Improved Data Modems (IDMs) for installation on numerous Army aircraft. In August of last year, Symetrics won the initial contract for IDM- 304s, valued at more than $7 million. Just recently, the Army placed two additional orders to the company, worth approximately $4.5 million.

MELBOURNE, Fla., 9 Sept. 2008. Symetrics Industries LLC received two additional orders from the U.S. Army for its Improved Data Modems (IDMs) for installation on numerous Army aircraft.

In August of last year, Symetrics won the initial contract for IDM- 304s, valued at more than $7 million. Just recently, the Army placed two additional orders to the company, worth approximately $4.5 million.

Symetrics is now on contract to deliver nearly 500 IDM-304s, and began making deliveries in June, in accordance with the government's schedule. Symetrics also continues as the U.S. government's depot repair facility for IDM-304s returned from the field.

Symetrics president and CEO, Mitch Garner states, "Their award to us of two additional orders of IDM-304s on this multi-year program, is a testimony to the hard work and commitment of our employees, and the US Army's commitment to provide improved situational awareness through digital communications."
