ITT to produce protection systems for U.S. Special Operations helicopters

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., 2 May 2008. ITT has been awarded a $57.2 million firm-fixed-price contract for Full Rate Production of the AN/ALQ-211(V)6, from the U.S. Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) Technology Applications Program Office as part of a $312M IDIQ production contract. This critical situational awareness and self-protection system will be installed on Special Operations Aviation (SOA) MH-47.

ITT has been awarded a $57.2 million firm-fixed-price contract for Full Rate Production of the AN/ALQ-211(V)6, from the U.S. Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) Technology Applications Program Office as part of a $312M IDIQ production contract. This critical situational awareness and self-protection system will be installed on Special Operations Aviation (SOA) MH-47.

Under this $57 million contract, 25 systems, along with spares and lay-in material, will be delivered to USASOC.

ITT Electronic Systems president Chris Bernhardt says, "Variants of these systems are protecting warfighters around the world, on both U.S. and international aircraft."
