Calian's SED Division to supply Ground Earth Stations to Inmarsat

KANATA, Ontario, 28 Feb. 2008. SED Systems, a division of Calian Technologies Ltd., won a contract from Inmarsat, a provider of global mobile satellite communications, to provide new Ground Earth Stations (GES) that will support the delivery of classic aeronautical services over the Inmarsat-4 satellites. Work on the contract is underway and delivery of the first system is scheduled for the first half of 2009. The contract is valued in excess of $8 million Canadian.

Inmarsat's aeronautical services provide voice, low-speed data, and safety services for airlines, corporate jets, government VIP aircraft, and Coast Guard and defense agencies.
