FARNBOROUGH, England, 10 July 2012. TE Connectivity (TE) is demonstrating its repair solutions, such as the C-Wrap side-entry repair sleeve for use in aerospace, defense, and marine applications.

The C-Wrap repair sleeve delivers an environment-resistant repair to damaged primary wire with nicks or chaffed and radial cracks, while providing long-term performance and a permanent solution.

Cold-Applied Splice provides wire termination and environmental sealing in a single step. The one-piece construction not only simplifies use, but also allows a compact space-saving profile. The immersible splice prevents water from entering even under permanent pressure or weight.

For military, commercial aerospace, and commercial marine environments, the company’s side-entry bushing was designed for high-temperature applications where tape or fixed grommets are used. One strip of the pre-coiled, reusable SEB can replace up to 6 feet and 40 wraps of silicone tape traditionally used in strain relief of wire and cables.
