RESTON, Va., 10 Feb. 2009.EADS North America's TYX Corp. business unit has been selected to provide the DynaWorks tool for data, management, processing, and analysis to the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.
DynaWorks will be used by the Greenbelt, Md.-based NASA facility to manage all test data for its Structural Dynamics Test Group, which performs vibration, modal, and acoustic testing on a wide range of spacecraft and components.
The DynaWorks software tool is an industry benchmark for real-time and post-processing of information from any data acquisition system. Its Test Center Application provides data management capabilities that lower test costs while optimizing the process of acquiring, analyzing, and automatically reporting test data.
"This agreement underscores the capabilities of EADS to support America's space program, and it comes at a time when NASA is preparing a new generation of launch systems and spacecraft," says Narayanan Ramachandran, the CEO of TYX. "It also highlights the company's ability to offer best-value solutions for our country's leading-edge projects."
DynaWorks covers a range of test applications, including structural dynamics, mechanical evaluations, electromagnetic environment assessments, and thermal test and analysis for ground-, air-, and space-based systems. This includes space launch vehicles and missiles, military aircraft and weapons, tanks, trucks and other platforms, says a representative.
