American Science and Engineering wins $2 million contract from U.S. government for ZBVs

BILLERICA, Mass., 4 Feb. 2009. American Science and Engineering Inc. (AS&E), provider of x-ray detection technology, has gained a $2 million order from the U.S. government for two Z Backscatter Vans (ZBVs). The ZBVs will be used to scan vehicles for explosives before entering a secure high-threat facility. The ZBVs will also be configured for harsh environments and remote operation in stationary scan mode.
