ITT wins $82 million contract for EW system on Navy F-18E/F tactical jets

CLIFFTON, N.J., 8 March 2006. ITT Avionics in Cliffton, N.J., won an $82.1 million full-rate production contract for the AN/ALQ-214(V)2 on-board jammers -- a significant part of the Integrated Defensive Electronic Countermeasures (IDECM) System on the U.S. Navy F/A-18E/F Hornet jet fighter-bomber.

CLIFFTON, N.J., 8 March 2006. ITT Avionics in Cliffton, N.J., won an $82.1 million full-rate production contract for the AN/ALQ-214(V)2 on-board jammers -- a significant part of the Integrated Defensive Electronic Countermeasures (IDECM) System on the U.S. Navy F/A-18E/F Hornet jet fighter-bomber.

Awarding the contract were officials of the Naval Air Systems Command at Patuxent River Naval Air Station, Md. The contract number is N00019-05-C-0054. Work is to be finished in November 2009. The program will include 264 systems.
