It is reportedly the only optical auto-capture fingerprint scanner available that meets the new set of specifications published by the General Services Administration (GSA), in conjunction with the National Institute of Technology (NIST), to meet Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) requirements.
Cross Match's V310 LC is the first compliant optical scanner that not only offers Personal Identity Verification (PIV) compliance, but easily integrates with existing solutions.
With a large platen, the V310 LC accommodates both one-finger and two-finger verification and provides high-quality images that meet the Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) requirements suitable for submission for both verification (1:1) and identification (1:N) purposes.
In addition to offering HSPD-12 compliance, the image quality of the V310 LC supports Rapid ID, an emerging area in law enforcement that enables officials to quickly identify individuals with a two-finger submission. When security is of utmost concern, such as moving prisoners to and from court, the V310 LC can accurately identify someone without the need for other identification.
